CRUDE PALM OIL

CPO stands for Crude Palm Oil, which refers to unrefined palm oil. Palm oil, or crude palm oil, is an edible vegetable oil extracted from the mesocarp of oil palm fruit, primarily from the Elaeis guineensis species.

Crude Palm Oil (CPO) is produced in the initial extraction stage of palm fruit and is rich in vitamin E and carotene, giving it a red or orange color. Because of this, it is often referred to as "Red Palm Oil."

The fatty acid content in CPO is balanced, with approximately 50% saturated fatty acids and 50% unsaturated fatty acids. Due to this balanced composition, CPO is well-suited for producing various edible derivative products, such as cooking oil, margarine, and chocolate.
